Voices In Relation: An Evening of Visiting

The Polyglot Magazine & Creative Hub is inviting you to An Evening of Visiting with special guests and Voices in Relation program facilitators.

This gathering marks the opening welcome to The Polyglot’s Voices in Relation program, sponsored by SILR (Supporting Indigenous Language Revitalization).

The evening will feature a special conversation with special guests and program session facilitators: Penelope and Ron Walker, Daniel Poitras and Corinne Riedel. Through storytelling, reflection, and dialogue, participants will be invited into a living exchange of knowledge, shared intentions, and an experience that will help set the tone for the sessions ahead.

We are excited to host the launch of The Polyglot’s 17th Issue: ᜑᜒᜎᜓᜋ᜔ (HILOM), co-edited by Candice Joy Oliva and April Angeles. In collaboration with the Philippine Edmonton Events and Arts Society (PHIDEAS), this special edition explores collective intercultural expressions of Grief, Gratitude, and Glory. 

This gathering will feature artists from this latest issue, as they share poetry, prose, and art that transform solitary grief into shared celebrations of life and community.

This event is part of Edmonton Poetry Festival and reflects The Polyglot’s ongoing commitment to creating community spaces where languages, cultures, and creative practices intersect in meaningful and transformative ways.
